Default 2007 Ultra Classic died at idle.

As I rolled up to a stop sign, engine died when applying the clutch. Engine is smooth during acceleration and holding a constant speed. When applying the clutch for a stop, engine dies as if I hit the kill switch, but will engine will fire right back up. After restart I have to hold the throttle to keep the rpm's up so engine doesn't die. This happened during a mid 50 degree evening. The following day I started the my bike and it idled fine. Any suggestions about this problem?

I'm not getting any codes. I bought the bike in May of this year with 38,000 miles. It now has 41,000. Looking at the plugs, I'm sure they are original and the fuel filter probably is also. I'll start with new plugs and some injector cleaner.

Make sure your air filter is clean, also make sure you keep your oil level below the full mark as these motors' crankcase ventilation system puts a lot of oil vapor into the air filter, then you'll need to clean the idle air control valve, had to do the same thing to mine. After changing my oil the first time and having it at the "full" mark, after a short trip over a weekend, did it to me all the way to work, would not hold an idle, found a lot of oil in the air filter, cleaned it all out and cleaned iac valve, been fine ever since. There are threads on this site or google it, you will find videos on this. Nick

I'd say Iac valve. Its fairly common on the 07.
