Don't be is so much of a hurry to end things that you let the cager's insurance off the hook....
I'm not going to let them off the hook, I just want a fair settlement and to be made whole again. Now, if they want to play hardball, then they will pay dearly. They have already brought up the fact that they would be paying me for lost wages, pain and suffering, doctors and the ER visit. Tomorrow, or the day after that, we should be meeting at the local Harley dealer where my bike is at to find out what it will take to make it back to the way it was, or to pick out my new bike.
Thanks for all the well wishes. Other than being a little sore, I am doing really well. I just hope that in the next day to two, that I don't get worse(soreness and tightness).
Glad that you're going to be fine. You have to learn to pick your spots and lane placement and how to drive defensively no matter how long you've been riding.Once you get complacent, that's when things will go South in a hurry. You were in his "Blind Spot" and some drivers don't use their mirrors to the best of their abilities. How many times has the same thing happened to you while you were driving in your car? I know that it has happened to me more times while driving my cage than on my bikes because I just don't let myself get in that situation. Again, glad you're OK.

I agree that I entered his blind spot, but with a headlight, two passing lights and two LED driving lights, it is hard not to see me in the dark. There isn't any way to not enter a blind spot when passing someone and hard to miss them when they decide to take a "hard left" when the realize that they took the wrong exit and need to get over three lanes now to miss the concrete divider. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sometimes, no matter your lane placement, awareness, riding ability you are going to be a victim of a cager.
I know what you're saying. I've been riding on the street for close to 44 years so I've seen just about all that you can imagine. You got to be totally aware of your surroundings as much as humanly possible. You'll soon develop a "second sense" when you ride and you'll know when to be more cautious. Sucks to learn a hard lesson the way you did but at least you know not to go there again.
