I was looknig in the Kuryakyn catalog and noticed the Xe7R 7" HID headlamp. This is made by XSighting Lighting. I have been wanting to install better lighting on my 05 Standard for night riding. I saw this light on display at a show a few months ago and appears to be a nice upgrade. If you have installed one, what are your thoughts on this light? Did you do anything with your spot lights? Thanks.

 

I bought one but have not installed yet. Once I do I'll let you know what I think.

 

One word of caution. HID and other projector beam lighting is extremely directional.
Your visibility to other vehicles will suffer. Please use some auxilary lighting on the front of your bike if you go with HID.

 

I put one on my old road king....holy sh#t that baby was bright.....nobody will let you ride behind them at nite, you will always be in the lead. It's a really cool headlight, and it has a electronic shutter that covers part of it when going from bright to dim, it kinda makes a clunk noise when you swith but that was my only complaint.

 

Shooter, did you do anything with your spotlamps?

 

nah.....I didnt have any......lol
