Anyone running fairing mirrors and bar mirrors? Trying to decide if I want to remove fairing mirrors and plug the holes... if you're running both please post picture if possible.
If you keep the fairing mirrors and run apes the only thing you'll see in the fairing mirrors are going to be your elbows. Might as well plug them or find another use for the holes.

Exactly. I plugged the holes as soon as I changed to apes and bar mounted mirrors. The fairing mounts were useless. All elbows and some lower peripheral view of asphalt; no view at all that would do you any good.

That depends on the height of your bars and the height of the individual as well. I'm 6'4 and have 14" bars and can see my fairing mounted mirrors just fine. No elbows in my way either.

2010 Limited with some stuff!!
^^^this ,14"KST bars fairing mirrors were fine for me , I am 5'8, but with HD bagger bars I had move my elbows to see.
After reading all the comments, I decided to remove the fairing mirrors and plug the holes... Found 2 old license plate reflectors and just like magic it looks great !!! better than a black plug.... Damn wish I knew why my pictures are rotated...
It depends on your height, your body position, and the height of your bars. I am 6'3" and have 14 inch Vindiktas and I can see out of them just fine. The joystick housing in my controls takes up about 10% of the mirror, but I can see great. No elbows.
