Default Progressive Mono Tube Suspension Input Needed

Need advice on if you would suggest going with Progressive front mono tube standard or the lowering set? I have an 09 Ultra with the DIY air shocks in the back. I'm 6' and weight right about 200. Right now the front suspension is stock. Also is $281 a decent price for the stock height mono tube kit?

At your height I'd stick with standard. Use only 1clip. Instructions say two, but only use 1, you won't be disappointed.

I'd say you got a good deal.

I just finished installing the standard height in my forks on my 11 EGC. I swapped out the lowers for black ones. It was a smooth easy install. I put both clips in. I ride 2 up a lot. I'm 6,1 225. She's sensitive about her weight. I put the Progressive 944's out back before the end of riding season. Those lowered the rear and made the bike more stable at low speed. Eliminated the rear bottoming out on hard bumps. I hope the monotubes live up to the hype. I'm sure anythings an improvement over stock though.

I had the Progressive front mono tube standard on my 2008 Ultra Classic and they made all the difference. Great ride and smoothed out the highway bumps. I am 5'8" and I think the dealer that installed them used both clips. I have been waiting for Progressive to come out with tubes that fit the 2014 Ultra Limited, but not as of yet.

Have a 2010 CVO Ultra. Installed the 1 inch lower Mono Tubes on the front. The ride is firm not harsh, no brake dive in the front end under a hard stop.
The 1 inch lower doesn't sound like much, but it let me be really flat footed and planted at a stop. On uneven ground I would be on my toes on one side to keep balanced.
Have no regrets about the change, and would do it again.

I installed them on my 08 SG, I'm 300lbs 6'4" (yes I'm a tiny guy LOL) used 2 clips, talked to Progressive after they sent me 2 more clips so I can add 1 more on each. Its better than stock for sure! IMHO, I'd use the 2 clips.

Only problem I had with the install when I did mine was tightening the screw at the bottom. Why would Harley design a screw that hold the fork oil and the spring in place in such a matter, IDK. The spring rotates as the screw is tightened. RETARTED setup. I just used an impact with locktite and so far so good.

I have only put maybe 300 miles on the new shocks as the 1st time I took it out was only to try everything and get the new bars adjusted as I decided to do the shocks while the bars and inner fairing were off. Then the 2nd time I took it out, lady hit me. Weather got cold and I was a little shellshock about riding. STILL DEALING WITH ALLSTATE. Sad thing is, I am one of their customers as my business is insured through them.....

The "standard height" Monotubes lower the front end about a half inch with two clips installed. Use one and it'll be lowered further. I hated my Monotubes and swapped them out after about 1,500 miles.

I installed Progressive MonoTubes standard height, 2 clips, in my '09 FLHX last spring, and noticed my Brake Line had quite a sharp bend in it. I measured my buddy's stock setup '08 FLHX, and it is exactly a .5" longer or taller then mine with the progressives. It looks like the front is lower than the rear shocks, which are Progressive 944's HD 13" . Which of course would load the front end. Has anyone else noticed as well?
I measured the two bikes while on the ground, and mine measured 26" from the bottom of the top triple tree, or top of the fork assembly to the fork Axle cap bolts. My buddy's measured exactly 26.5".

On my '97 I did the same parts but at 200+ and a passenger progressive recommended 1 clip. Rides and corners stabile with firm but responsive action
