Default 1" vs 1 1/4" Bars

Are there any plus/minuses when it comes to choosing between 1" and 1 1/4" bars? I thought I saw something about 1 1/4" bars push against part of the fairing or dash or something. Any help/advise would be appreciated...

I have Wild1 Chubby WO578 and yes they rub the fairing. Not a big problem and can be fixed with a Dremel and a sanding disk in about 10 seconds.

I like the look of the fatter bars.

Idk who would want puny 1" bars.. I have 1. 25" and would have liked to have gone 1.5..personally I think bigger bars make it easier to run stuff internally

What bars did you order? My 14" WOs are really close to my new detach fairing. I either have to tweak the fairing or change bars...

I ran into the same problem when I put apes on my sons Heritage with the Reckless fairing. I've gotta change the mount hole location in the fairing. OP the 1 1/4" bars just flat out look better and the 1.5" looks even better than that. Makes internal wiring much easier as well. Mine doesn't rub the fairing but the rubber bushings on the switch cap make for a tight fit with the bigger bars. Some just trim them down, some take them off, and some just squeeze them up tight and make them fit.

2010 Limited with some stuff!!

The 1.5" just look right on a RG. I love mine. Nice and beefy looking.

I have the 1 1/4" bars and am completely happy with them!

1.5" bars would also look sick, but it's a very expensive mod for ME to make the switch since I already done it once.
