I currently have 3.5 inch Rinehart slipons and want to go with the 4 inch when I get the new bike. Here is my question...
With just adding slipons will I lose power, might do a stage one but that will be it? If I put in the free flow baffles how much difference in power will there be? Also how much louder will they be?
I currently have an 09' with a 107 kit, looking at getting a 15 Ultra Limited and only do a stage one.
You are not going to gain anything by adding just mufflers, but you are not going to lose anything either. A muffler only change does not do much except change the sound.
Rinehart does not recommend air/fuel adjustments with the 4" using the stock head pipe. According to them the increase in air/fuel creates more heat in the stock head pipe
and may blue the mufflers. I experienced the increase in heat ( hot) and swapped out to a FM head pipe. Just saying- no problems with mufflers only.
Dayum, for being on this site 10 years, you have to ask all these "newb" questions?
You've been here 7 years and still making dumb *** comments? Just because you have been around "awhile" doesn't mean you stop learning or asking questions. Since the 15's are relatively new bikes with a different set up I didn't think the same rules would apply.
Seriously, only adding pipes won't lose power but opening up the baffles might lose TQ, that's my question.
Plus my 09' doesn't have cat's so I wouldn't have thought about the head pipes.
