Never ever noticed a rubber bumpstop. I suppose my powers of observation have failed me yet again!

Maybe it's my year round all weather riding, but I've sanded, glued and still lost several of those bumpers. Finally I took a piece of rubber and double worm gear strapped it onto the frame. That was a couple of years ago. It's still there.

I used an old valve stem. Cut 2 centimeters and it's done. Just perfect and free. Use a pointed plier to pull into the hole.

That is awesome. And the tire shops throw those away by the boatload.

Lightbulb Valve stem works perfect

I joined this forum just to comment on this thread. Everyone complained about losing the original bumpers so they redesigned it. The rubber valve stem works better than the redesign and it only cost me $1.99. Thanks for the great tip.
New to me 07 Electra Glide Classic 77k miles
