Don't know why I'm being warned about the spokes and cleanliness.

I've had spokes on this since 2006.... And they've been maintained without any complaints.

Agree, spokes is the only way to go for me. Dont mind cleaning them, really makes you appreciate the bike more. Oh, nice roadie too.

How was the tire clearance with the Avon? I've been wanting to switch to an Avon to match my rear, heard rumors Avon was one of the larger 21" tires.

I didn't warn ya, it's a personal preference dude, I done like them.it fits urs I've tho and as long as ur happy what I say doesn't make a **** difference
