so since i cant leave things alone i wanted to mess with some parts lying around. has anyone decatted the stock head pipe and capped off the crossover pipe making it a 2 into 1? if so i was wondering if you noticed anything different, sound, performance, mpg? i have an extra crossover pipe that im going to cut in half and cap the ends so i can make the 2 into 1 and ghost pipe
It may not have a good clean flow for the exhaust gasses to exit and you could kill the low end torque. 2 into 1 systems have a ton of engineering and research in them so they are as efficient as possible. Good luck if you decide to play around, it's your project.

yeah it wont flow as smooth as a clean 2 into 1. if i really wanted to do it with out buying a real exhaust i'd cut off the piece and weld a plate over it to make it flow smooth(er). mainly i'd jjust like to see the difference in the sound, performance, or notice anything else.

ghost pipe is just looks. im not a fan of the single side exhaust without extended bags. it looks like something is missing. but thats just me
I have a 2010 Street Glide header on my 13 Limited despite their lack of popularity I like it allot.Right away I noticed a bump in torque off the very bottom sound was awfull with the stock muffler, sounded like a Honda generator. Now with the gutted cat and muffler it sounds as good as if not better than many aftermarket systems I've heard.Added Thunder Torque Insert and it pulls like freight train.Oh yea I paid 125$ for the complete system in the forum classifieds.
