Default anyone try using the new amsoil primary and tranny fluids

Switched over to Amsoil on my recent fluid change using their primary chain oil and vtwin trans fluid, trans seems louder than the syn3 or redline anyone else use Amsoil in the primary and tranny and have similar results or am i just paying to much attention to it at the moment?

Thanks

I Started using the new tranny fluid from amsoil, instead of the gear oil.
When I used my bike, I thought my tranny went belly up on me...No first gear drunk...what??
Yep, my tranny is noticeably quieter...
I am hesitant to use the primary fluid in the primary because I have had such good service from using a soil 20/50 Motorcycle oil. I have 50k on the bike with the original compensator, which is very good.
So far though, the new tranny fluid seems to work real nice. Better shifting with way less clunk.
Ride safe.

That's good to hear. I am changing my fluids this weekend and am using the Amsoil Trans oil. I am also sticking with 20w50 in the primary.

I just switched from Amsoil tranny/primary to Red Line @ my 5000 mile service. This may not be a great reason, but the Amsoil tranny fluid was so clear I had a really hard time checking the level. I just got this done yesterday so it's a little premature, but I think my primary may be noisier with the Red Line. Also I really liked the clutch feel with the Amsoil primary fluid, so if I don't get the same out of the Red Line I'll probably switch back.

I don't notice any difference in shifting or transmission noise, but either way the performance is way better than Syn3, which I made the mistake of putting in @ my 1000K.

And yeah get out the popcorn.

We still need a good oil thread once in a while.

The only way I would not use the oil recommended in the manual is if it would cure that first cold oil shift from neutral "clunk". But I have learned to deal with it.

I haven't tried amsoil trans or primary fluid but used their engine oil in the engine and the engine was noticeably louder. I will stick with Mobil 1 20w50 in the engine and primary and Mobil 1 75w90 in the transmission.

To answer your question, yes I did and am happy with the change. I was using severe gear in the transmission and HD Formula Plus in the primary. I'll still with the new primary and transmission fluids from Amsoil.
