Default Spark Plugs & Wires Upgrade...Wow!

I've recently replaced the spark plugs wires on my 2005 Road Glide to the Screaming Eagle 10mm wires along with new NGK Iridium plugs, and Wow! I can't believe the increase in performance! I now hardly noticed any acceleration pinging from the front cylinder, and she's now more crisp off the blocks as well!

My RG has about 76k miles on it, and I thought it had pretty good torque and HPs before. But, this mod really surprised me.

If anyone has similar experience, please share.

Its not really a mod, its maintenance. wires and plugs go bad over time. Its great to do maintenance and have noticeable results that you can feel.

Imagine getting rid of the stock coil and plug wires altogether.
I've been running Accel super coils for about a year and will never go back to wires!

This I am curious about. I have ran SE plugs and wires before and noticed no difference. IMO a plug is a plug is a plug. Iridium? Snake oil. JMO.

True for the most part, Plugs and wires are just that. But when plugs and wire have outlived their life expectancy new plugs and wires are going to run better.

And iridium just extends the life of the plug no other advantage.

Probably not a testimate to your new plugs and wires setup as much as it is proof of the degradation of your old ones

I'll bet that if you change back to stock, brand new, you will have the same smile on your face with the improved performance. It's amazing what a new set of plugs will do when they are worn out but I don't think the plugs and wires you installed add anything over what the stoke would. If that were the case, there'd be all kinds of dyno shops that change them out and have dyno sheets to prove it works. The only ones I have ever seen are from the maker of the plug or wires trying to bolster their claim.
