Default The sound of almost silence

After searching for the perfect sounding pipe, trying B&E performance Max 1's, then recently Klock Werks 4" Super Savers, yesterday I tried the stock pipes again.....
What a refreshing ride, to have just the wind blowing across your ears, and not have to listen to a loud rumble.
I forgot how sweet the bike sounded bone stock.
These ears are getting old and worn, from the stress and strain of a noisy job, the relaxing ride of the stock pipes made me realize that maybe what I was searching for all along was someone else's idea of what a Harley is suppose to sound like.
But in fact the stock pipes are music to my ears, "The Sounds of Perfect Silence".

I hear ya brother , I personally don't care for loud exhaust on anything! It just gets old really fast to my ears. A nice rumble is good, but I don't need to be heard in the next county!

Congrats on finding your way.To me,It is very odd that so many of the posts here are asking what others like when were all so different with very little in common.

Supertrapp 2 into 1 with just 13 discs and a closed end cap. Barks when you hit it but I can still hear the valvetrain when its cruising down the highway. I just sold my Patriot Defenders 2 into 1, their long time drone gave me a long time headache.

I've had a lot of Harleys over the years, but this new Road King sounds better than any have with the stock pipes. I might leave it that way as well.

I agree. I have even thought of trying to find some Ultra pipes o see if they are quieter than the stock Road King pipes!
