Contrast cut aftermarket wheel question and pics needed
For those of you who have contrast cut wheels I'm needing some pics. Also how well is the polished portion of the wheels staying polished? Do the polished areas require extra maintenance to keep there shine? I'm considering the pm contrast cut platinums

To clean and take care of the Black Anodized Finish, wash with mild soap and water, do not use harsh chemical cleaners that can destroy the black anodized finish.
As far as the Polished area, the wheel will tend to go dull after being exposure to road dirt and other pollutants. You may use a high quality aluminum polish to get back that mirror like finish of the aluminum. Make sure to completely protect the black ano portion of the wheel to ensure that the black ano surface is not damaged.

It's not that tedious to maintain, although it does take extra care to maintain vs. an all chrome wheel, but nothing that should dissuade you from getting them if that's the look you're after. Imo, a contrast cut wheel can make or break the look of certain bikes.
After every wash, I use a vac and blow dry the bike, then wipe down with mcquires mist spray wax and microfiber towel. Prevents any spots. Before every riding season and at the end of season, I polish the wheels with mothers mag/aluminum polish. The finish remains fantastic all year. It takes about an hour to do both wheels by hand.

I like to look of the contrast wheels, but all I can picture is in the 90s when everyone was getting polished aluminum wheels on cars and trucks. Within a few years the wheels looked terrible, I do realize that my bike doesn't get the abuse of my truck so thet may make them more maintainable. Can anyone post pics of there bike with a contrast setup?
