Default 2011 Police seat on a 2014 Limited?

Can someone confirm for me if a POLICE HARLEY SOLO SEAT WITH TOUR PAK MOUNTING RACK off a 2011 Police Harley FLHTP would fit a 2014 Limited?

I don't see why not as the frame change occurred in 2009.

Also do you know how they sit compared to stock? Same height, or more legroom
thanks
brian

Default police seat

Brian, I would first check with my local dealership, especially if they sell/service police models to local departments. i'm familiar with the 2009 FLHTP, but not sure of any changes in the 2014's

the "rack" you refer to...is that off of a police model? if so, the fender struts on the police bike are different from the civilian bikes...I seriously doubt it would fit.

seat should fit, as long as you have the correct brackets for the police seat. those can be found in the big parts book at your dealer. you will also have to relocate the air reservoir bottle and fittings (relocated mine to saddlebag guard bag).

seat sits higher without any weight (unladen), but are almost identical to touring bike height with rider (laden). specs are at HD website, under police model brochure.

brian....look for a police seat with brackets from a 2013 or newer...those use an adjustable spring over shock. nicer set-up than the air bladder...check you dealer...sometimes people buy used police bikes and change out the seats...ebay, this website, etc.

mustang makes a pillion that matches the police seat for two up

good luck.....

weelbur2
thanks for all the advice. Great idea contacting the other member. I'm still on the fence with the whole idea, it comes down to how much if any will the wife ride.
thanks again

your bike already has 4 point system with detachable trunk/rack assembly, correct? swapping out the two-up seat with police saddle and mustang pillion shouldn't be a large expense.....pillion runs around $150 US...good luck
