Debating a late run up to Sturgis for last couple of days of the rally. I've never been and would like to know where my best chance of finding a place to stay is. Not big on staying in a tent but will if I have too. Thanks for the input in advance.

Your best bet will be camping in a tent. Hotels are almost all filled to capacity, and prohibitively expensive.

 

Check the Rapid city craigslist, we found some cancellations on there a couple weeks ago.

 

Agreed. You can also go an check out VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) online, and chances are you can find something there as well.

 

Call hotels directly not thru their 800 numbers. If they have rooms, they will be able to give best price. Stay in rapid city or custer for best deals. You will be around 50 miles from sturgis but its a nice ride
