Heat shield question

Just changed out my headers and on the shield going into the right side muffler there are two little dimples opposite the heat shield clamp. You can barely see them and only at an angle but they're bugging me. I was careful not to over tighten since I had the same thing happen on the last set due to what I assumed was over tightening. So is this just one of those things that I'm gonna have to live with or there anything I can do about it?

I'd guess they are the spot welds for the clamp loop. Ya could have them filled, smoothed and re-chromed if they bug ya that much.

I think we've all found small imperfections that annoy us in the short term, but it's been my experience that time heals all wounds.

It will not be long before rocks and other crap start scaring the heat shields, then eveything will blend together. It sucks but it happens.

you can stop looking at it on your hands and knees at the certain angle and light ...
