Police FLHP - Will a 03 Police FLHTPi seat fit a 08 Police RoadKing?
I recently purchased a 2008 Police FLHP Roadking. The Solo Air Ride seat is very confortable, but has multiple rips in it. also, the bladder is not holding the air pressure. Not sure if it is the bladder or the air tank.
I found a 03 police FLHTPi seat, passenger seat and bladder/tank units for sale that I am interested in.
Will the 2003 Police FLHTPi seat and its parts fit my 2008 FLHP as well without anything needing to be changed?

If you take a look at the two years you mention on this parts website, you will see that the mounting bracket is an '08 part, but much of the rest of the seat is much earlier. So IMHO you should be able to dismantle an '03 seat and rebuild the best parts onto the your '08 bracket. Hopefully someone who has actually done it will call by soon!

Take a look at this site for police seat installation - this is what I did on my 09 RK and now it's on my 13RGU. I bought a Mustang passenger seat.

You may have to Google for more information 08 installations. I have seen write ups for the 08 frames.
Police seats are great - definitely a 500-750 mile per day seat. I will not use anything else.
Good Luck.

You will need to use your '08 T-bar bracket and mount the '03 seat only to it. '08 is a one off transition year. A larger fuel tank was introduced in '08 and the 2-up seats are '08 specific. The seats come up for sale quite often. You don't need a T-bar. I would forego the air seat suspension system and adapt either a 2013 spring unit or do a Kong conversion. A lot less hassle and maintenance free! JMHO
