Way under sprung for a bagger.

yes, but I bet a much smoother ride for 2011 and above? Just wondering if anyone has ventured down this ride to find out?

Just because one hasn't traveled the rode, doesn't mean it's a direction you want to go. There are plenty of suspension options out there that were intended to be used on a bagger.

Ironically opposite to what most people would think the Dyna models actually have a heavier spring rate than the baggers. Check the spring rate charts at Progressivesuspension.com if you need to confirm it.

I had put Bagger shocks on my fat bob at one point, and they were way too soft. The one situation that you might benefit from this would be if you wanted a heavier spring rate on the Street Glide (for a heavy rider or two up) and the 12" length Dyna shocks being readily available could work out in your favor.

They will physically fit but you wont want them - pulled off the stock shocks from my FXDC, (which were longer than FXDL shocks) and replaced them with take off shocks from a RK. Why?........because the stock shocks are the cheapest form of shock made and the ride was utter crap - bagger shocks rode much better.

LOL, excellent answer. He posted the same question in the Dyna section and I answered almost exactly as you did.

yes, because I saw where they were swapping out the stock shock for some bagger air shocks. I have tried some variations of shocks, all seem to be a rough ride I currently have the 944's standard spring. I have also tried an older pair of 13" air shocks off my 2002 road king, they were a little better than the stock 12's. My buddy's Low Rider has a softer ride and just thought I'd ask to see if anyone has tried it and liked it enough to get away from these things riding like a log truck.

If the 944's are not good enough for you, call Howard at Motorcycle Metal. He will custom make a pair of shocks that will get the job done. Sell the 944's and recap probably half the cost of the Ohlins you get from Howard. That's pretty much the end of the line in terms of upgraded suspension.
