Default Rim Question - Softail to Road King

Can someone tell me if the rear spoke rim off of a 2008 Softail deluxe fit on the back of a 2007 Road King?

That just won't work out for you

Besides bearing size differences and also a slight wheel offset difference (slight offset change made to softails in 2003), the biggest issue is that although they are both equipped with 16x3" wheels, the 2008-later softail have a wider hub unique to the softail. They widened it on the pulley side. (See photo below)

______08-Later 16x3 softail wheel ________________ Earlier Hub (it's flipped because it's a sportster, but same hub size as the 2007 RK)

Of course there are other laced spoke wheels (if that's what you're looking for) that will fit fine on that 2007 RK.
