2011 Road Glide Handlebar shakes on idle

Hello all... I'm about to purchase a used 2011 Road Glide Ultra. All seems good with it other than the handlebars shake somewhat violently when the bike is at sitting idle. Once riding the bike the shake is almost non existent. Sales guy says Harley's run like that... I say bs anyway any suggestions as to what may be the problem and how to fix it or have it fixed before I purchase? Thanks

Shake

I too have a 2011 RGU and it's a Harley so it shakes. I don't mean to be an AH but do you spend a lot of time on the bike at idle ? Sitting in the garage or at stop lights...Once the car behind me stops, I let go of the handle bars all together. So a little shake doesn't bother me at all.
Once on the road, it's the best bike in the world.

If you called BS to the sales guy's face...........you owe him an apology.

Yep, they shake at idle. The taller they are the more they shake.

Completely normal. The engines aren't balanced like Japanese bikes. Hope you didn't say b.s. to the sales guy...because you looked foolish and not very knowledgeable about what your planning on buying.

Ask for some fries with the shake. Softails don't shake as much....check them out.

Motorcycles aren't for everyone maybe you should stay away from the nasty shaking things! (I jokes)

........ this is one of the features that the MoCo builds in so that the deaf/dumb/blind contingent can differentiate btwn HD & metric motorcycles

That shake is a bonus of having a Harley. You owe that sales guy a dozen donuts.
