I'm all out of clutch adjustment
My 2011 Street Glide has run out of clutch adjustment. I've got the cable adjuster maxed out and even had to adjust the setscrew on the clutch to a quarter turn just to not have so much freeplay at the lever.
What has worn out? Maybe cable stretch along with clutch plate wear? Throwout bearing going? Very recently changed the primary lube and saw nothing unusual come out. Clutch never slips while riding and still feels normal. Any ideas on what to look for before I tear into it?

I don't think your cable is stretched. Try this:
Loosen cable adjuster til the lever is about half way to the grip. Turn the adjuster screw in til it makes contact, keep turning while working the lever, the lever will move out away from the grip. If it moves all the way, loosen the cable adjuster some more, repeat the process. When the lever doesn't move away from the grip anymore while tightening the adjuster screw, the ***** are bottomed out in their ramps. Now you can make sure that the adjuster screw is barely touching the rod, and make sure you have some free play in the lever. Now, back out 1/2 to 1 turn, and adjust the cable.
Harder to write than actually do it.

Are you loosening the cable adjuster all the way before adjusting the clutch; then adjusting the cable?

Replacing my clutch cable solved all my clutch problems that I had since new. I should have done it years ago. My stock cable seemed to have too long of a cable for the sheath, so the adjustment was always way out to the end (the adjuster on the front down tube.)
The new cable's adjustment is now only about half way up the threaded adjuster, and I now have my clutch lever set so that the friction zone engages with the lever, under my index finger, about 3/4" from the grip.
