Tall boy seats?
 

Anyone on a SG running the tall boy seat? I'm 6'6 and want more leg room... How are these seats? Any other seats out there that sit you back a bit?

Free trial at the Harley dealer. I had one on my 2000 Road King. Very comfortable moves you up and back. They are a bit chunky looking.

HD tall boy seats will move you back but they are uncomfortable because you keep sliding forward.
I'm running a mustang super touring seat. It moves you back 1 3/4". It's also pretty comfortable and comes in a solo version if you are into that.

I am 6' 6" and have a Tallboy on a 2011 SG. I have had it for several years and it's finally starting to get broken in. I like it OK. I really only have stock to compare to though.

Like others have said, I recommend you try one at the dealer then buy a used one. I see them for sale all the time.

La Pera Daddy Long Legs 2" back

+1 for the Le Pera Maverick Daddy Long Legs. Also, if you do mostly 1 up riding, the Le Pera Outcast gives you that extra leg room as well. Unlike the Tall Boy, these seats sit you lower and further back for a more custom look.

I put a Tall Boy on my 07 Ultra when I had it, rode it for about 7500 miles and still not comfortable so I sent it to Mean City Cycles for a complete once over. It was FANTASTIC! after that. Rode 25,000 with it after the MMC redo and was completely satisfied! Now I just purchased a 14 Limited and I think the stock seat is going to Mean City this winter for a make over.

Get a hold of C&C seats. He made me a seat that dropped me 2" and moved me 2" back. Also, research Tallboys.com for their floorboard relocation kit. moves the floor boards down 2" and forward 2". I also have 14" apes. With all 3 mods I couldn't be happier. Without them I was like a Monkey F*ckin a football....

I asked this question a few days ago. I am kind of undecided. a new seat or get the new seat chopped up. I will say that there is a big difference between the stock seat and tall boy.
