As I do my search, I wanted to pop this up and see if I can get an answer.
So, I need to override and change my security pin. I'm unable to get the original PIN from the dealer where I purchased the bike right now due to they will only give it to me in person to verify who I am. Good on them, but that ****s me because I live too far away from them.
Anyway, do you need to know the PIN (from dealer) to override the security system and/or to change the PIN?
Although I havven't changed it yet, my dealer told me the 'original' PIN number is the last 4 (or 5 - I don't remember the exact # of digits) of your ViN.

I heard that a lot and also heard they come from factory with 31313.
The other issue now, is to change the PIN it looks like your fob must be working too. Or at least that's what I read on here. My fob is not working either, ****ing great!
If you have a working fob, you can program a new PIN # without knowing the current. You said you fob isn't working, did you try a new battery (in the fob) - a 2032 (found just about anywhere) installed with positive (+) down
begin with the kill swt off, tune Ing on, filp kill swt 3 times ending with the swt in run mod.left turn signal twice, right turn signal once.
I think the '13 and older bikes are a bit different on changing the PIN. I don't have the manual right now but I remember flipping the left run signal 3 times and then the right once when I changed my PIN.
