Selling Question

I'm trying to sell my E-Glide Police and I keep getting responses like mileage is too high. It has 35,000 miles; 2009 FLHTP 103, ABS, Sony stereo with Fozgate amp, 6" Polk speakers, stretched bags, brawler seat, true duals, Klock Werks 4" cans, Power Vision tuner. I think it has tasteful mods. Runs like new, I didn't think 35k miles was high for a touring bike. What should I be asking for it?

Thanks for any response

It looks really nice. I guess if it isnt selling, the price is too high. I do know that police bikes tend to sell for less than their non-police equivalents. Yes, you have a lot of tasteful mods, but you will probably have to be more patient, or less proud of your mods. GLWS! :)

That is a nice looking bike, but there are tons of motorcycles out there used that have a lot less miles. It wouldn't be hard to find a 2009 with 3,000 miles because lots of people buy bikes and just never ride them.

One thing you might want to do is look at ebay advanced search, and see what similar bikes have actually sold for.

Curious what you're asking for it. Here's a very nice looking 09 Street Glide with 1/3 the miles you have, for $17K

if you think you are priced right...then wait for a serious buyer.

when I sold my previous bagger I had dozens of lowball offers...then after about 7 weeks a guy called who was looking for exactly what I had for sale.

and when i shop...I make a low offer- can;t hurt.

Selling a used bike with thousands in mods like I'm also trying to do sucks. My 13 street glide only has 7000 miles on it and I have way too much money in it. I thought I could get around $18,000.00 for it but that ain't happening. The used Harley bike market is flooded with any kind of bike you want. If I could do it over again I wouldn't buy a new one and dump a bunch of money in it. I'd buy one like mine with the mods done. Good luck.

I bought a basically stock 09 flhtcu from the original owner with 9,800 miles from Texas 11/2014 in very good condition for $13,500.

I don't know how much you are asking for it, but it looks like a really nice bike. But I don't think that is high mileage at all, its less than 6,000 miles a year. My 09 has almost 98,000 miles. If you aren't in a hurry, just be patient, the right buyer will come along and won't have any problems giving you what you want for it.

check craigslist for your area - that is a good feel for what they might be brining... As stated the used market is very soft and all those after market goodies - only good to someone who can appreciate them - Looks nice. I sold a 04 with 80K - best selling feature was I still had a ESP on it.... bought it new - got the 7 year - then got a three year then at 74K got the last three year - it still had 18 months on the ESP - Bike looked Very nice - mostly stock but showed very nice - got $7500 - as stated, found a buyer that just loved it and the ESP sold it - 18 months of worry free riding -
As stated, if your not hungry - let it sit, it will sell
