progressive 412's
2005 ultra
found a good deal on a set of 13.5" progressive rears,, any body run them on a touring bike like an ultra ?? i'am only 170lbs. so I think they should be ok ,, if so what setting would be good 1 up ,, I was figuring setting 2 to start with . thanks mike |
I have 412's and they are just OK.
I'm looking to change mine for Ohlin's or Progressive 970's. But still, 412's are better than stock. |

what setting are you running them on ,, if you don't mind ,, how much you weigh
mike When we ride 2 up I go to the third knotch but I ride solo 90% of the time. |
Those shocks can come with a standard spring or with a heavy spring. At your weight the heavy springs will be too stiff. Probably would be a good idea to ask what spring it has then visit Progressive's website to see if they will work for you.
I am 215# with the standard spring and have mine set 1 notch down from the stiffest setting. I agree that they are OK, a good buy for the money and much better that the stock Harley air shocks. |
