Default Wire Pin Terminal Size?

I have a 2011 FLHRC. I want to make up a wire for my passing lamps so they stay lit when high beam is on. I will remove the yellow wire pin from the passing lamp connector (white 4 pin connector that goes to passing lamp switch) and insert the pin on the wire I am making up. I will then route the new wire up to the orange with white stripe fender tip light wire that comes from the headlight and connect to it with a spade connector. I figure then I don't have to cut the original wiring.

Anyone know where I can get the pin terminal that is used on the yellow wire and what size it is? How about size of the spade? Does this all make sense?

Just snip the wires coming from the passing lamp and wire them together and plug it back in. The plug has 2 hot wires. 1 constant hot when you turn your passing lights on. 1 hot when the high beams are off.

Yeah, but with my method if all works out I don't have to do any snipping.

In case you aren't aware, HD makes a wire harness to do just what you want; keep the passing lamps on with the high beam.

It is only $30 and takes 5 minutes to install. I understand it would you cost much less to wire it yourself but $30 may be worth avoiding the hassle. Just an FYI.
