Hartco Seats

Anyone here purchased a Hartco seat lately? I've read mixed reviews but most of the info is as much as 10 yrs old. They are located in Fl about 60 mi from me and would give me a chance to actually meet the seat maker. I'm still looking for a comfortable long range touring seat and any info on this company would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ultimate seats are also close to you in Daytona. I don't know anything about Hartco but was just giving you another option. Ultimate let you have the seat for a 7 day trial period with a full refund if you don't like it.

Been to Ultimate already. Had 1 HD touring seat in stock. Said it was just what I needed. Took it back after 1200 mi (was trying to be on vacation) Was told they had a serious problem with their foam machine at the mfg facility. They gave me a full refund and an apology. I got the impression HD seats are not their priority. Had plenty of seats for other brands. Think Polaris. I would sink 2'' down into the seat in around 30 min. After that it was just plain misery the rest of the day. Think seat pan. Thanks for the info just the same, I do appreciate your effort.

Had an Ultimate also, i loved the seat as far as position, seemed made well, till a long ride, sitting on a seat pan hurts, wish they would put good foam in them , sorry, can't help with the other seat, good luck

I had one

I had one of their seats for my 2004 Yamaha Roadstar. The seat was very good quality. The company was very easy to deal with. I had the seat from 2004 to 2010 when I traded for a new Streetglide. They actally pour the seat foam to your weight and inseam so each seat is definately custom. Also the Yamaha seat pans at the time were plastic like the Harley is. Hartco was using hand laid fiberglass for a much better seat pan,

Thank You for the replies. I know seat advice on the internet is kinda like getting a hair cut over the phone but it does give me an indicator of what to do next. I'm dealing with an ear infection right now but will be trying a Corbin dual touring as well as taking a ride over to Hartco. Hartco is located just north of Crescent City on 17. Kinda looking at a Danny Gray and Lapera too. Most of my riding is 2 up so both ends of the seat must work well. Again Thanks for the replies!
