Default Cold weather oil

So long story short, I live in upstate New York, I want to get out on the road ASAP (the itch needs scratching). So what oil do you all recommend for the "colder" weather we get up here. I'm hoping to be on the road in April and ride as often as possible not only for work transport but also for weekend rides and whatnot.

I'm mostly not sure what weight oil is best seeing as it does get into the 80's and 90's here in the summer.

40's in the morning is the coldest I'd ride, but 50's and 60's are the ideal temps. Any suggestions?

if thats the coldest you're going to ride your normal 20W-50 synthetic is perfectly fine.

Your owners manual states the oil recommended for different temp ranges.

20/50 synthetic is all you need. If it is too cold for it to flow adequately or if its getting too stiff to start, then it is too cold to ride.

M1 15-50 I've had down to 36°f . road up till Chirstmas eve & plan to be back on the bike before March is over. Plan to switch to amsoil 20-50 by summer then back to M1 w/stp in the fall.
