Default 2014 Street Glide bag questions

I know this is going to sound weird. But will the older style bags fit on a 2014-2016?
I am wanting to get extended saddlebags with rear fender. I like the square look of the older bags then the new style.
I have heard that the new bags will fit on the older bikes. I assume it would work. Any info is helpful.

No reason I can see you would have any trouble putting the old style bags on. I sent you a pm.

If I am not mistaken the older bags will fit, if you have a tour pack you will run into clearence problems opening and closing the lids

I have the new style chopped TP on my King. No issues opening the lids. It might be the other way around with new bags opening with older TP, but maybe someone can confirm that.

I believe you are correct. The new 14+ bags open the same way as the pre 14 police bags. When adding a tour-pak using the police bags, the tour-pak had to have spacers under it to allow the saddlebag lids to clear when opening the bag.

No they will not fit, unless you do some modifications to the hole. Cant remember which one, thinking the front hole , where the pin goes thur to hold bag onto ,bag support bracket .. The reason the new style bags fit older bikes , is because has that bracket in the front(Where the pin locks into), that you are able to adjust.. Just have to fit all parts before paint... Anything can be done , just depends on how much you want to do!

Hope this helps
