Default 2000 Ultra Semi-permanent Tour-Pak Removal?

I've got a 2000 Ultra and my lady is no longer interested in riding as the result of a former boyfriend being KIA on his Ultra. Pretty understandable.

I want to remove the Tour-Pak and make the bike more Street Glide-ish. I've got the pack off, but am wondering what to do with all those cables. Suggestions? Is there a kit for neatening them up? If not, any suggestions from those who have been down this road?

I'll also need suggestions for an antenna relocation kit. I'm not worried about the CB since I won't be using it.

Lastly the Tour-Pak mounting bracket. I'm hesitant to take it off since it looks like it's a little more work than I'd like to do because that will make putting the pack back on for long solo trips more of a hassle. What do you fine folk do with yours? Are there covers for these?

Thanks all!

PS: I know there are quick-release kits available, but I've been a little hesitant to go that route.

Thanks Mike, it's been easier than I expected.

I've tied the cables back as you suggested and am pretty sure they're not interfering with the seat in any way, and I wrapped all open connectors in electrical tape.

I took off the mounting bracket as well, which was also a piece of cake: two bolts on each side.

I think now all I need is a license plate bracket and an antenna and I'll be good.

Default What I did

The same as what you want to do. Took off the tp. Took off the top bar and tag bracket. Roll up all wiring and cables, stash under seat. Inst. lay down tag bracket. Acquired sweet street glide seat-06. Chrome tag frame from autozone, six bucks.

I'm thinking it'll take an hour and an half or so to put it back in long-haul state, but yeah, it's definitely not the big deal I was concerned it would be. Glad I did it.

Although it look cluttery the quick disconnect stuff is real functional and nice to have.
Just yesterday I rode to work and at last minute decided I need to bring more supplies and pick up some Elk Meat, it took all of 2 minutes to remove the passenger backrest bar and install tourpac. So easy and convenient.
