Guys could use some help while installing my 4180 amp I found a broken wire connector up around the triple tree ground screw it looks like a ground wire would like to know exactly what it is before reattaching it to ground. Going to try and attach a picture.
It grounds the upper triple tree bracket to the Left GND 1 stud on the frame. The GND of many other items (such as your lights, gauges, etc.) are all connected to the same ground and eventually to the Left GND 1 stud.
Left GND 1 is your "dirty" ground --> components that are NOT sensitive to electrical interference are connected to the dirty ground. On your bike, solid black wires are used for dirty grounds.
Components that ARE sensitive to electrical interference (such as sensors and modules) are connected to the clean ground and is terminated at the clean ground stud. On your bike black/green wires are for clean grounds.
Bikeagraman, Thanks for the help and info on my broken wire I'll reconnect it to the dirty ground and finish my audio upgrades. Thanks again for your feedback!!

Good information! The ground on the triple tree is shown as Ground 3 on the schematics
