Default Installing new clutch hub

Repaired an oil leak to the shift shaft seal and while apart I decided to upgrade my clutch. The old clutch did not just slide off. I had to tap it and work it back and forth to finally get it off. Replaced the clutch hub with a new Riveria Primo clutch hub and discs. My issue is, I cannot slide the new hub on. I don't want to bang on it with a hammer. Any ideas? The shaft spline's do not look damaged.

Something's wrong. It should just slide on with little effort as long as the splines are lined up and the angle is right.

That's what I thought as well. The old one however didn't slide off either. It was a real bit** to get off.
