Oxy Clean is real tough on Aluminum, oxidizing it to black. Just keep it off the wheels and cases and you should be fine. Unless, you are looking for that patchy blacked out look.

I use the Bleche White stuff on my truck tire letters. It can also be hard on aluminum wheels, especially clear coated ones. Do not let it sit on the wheels!! It does work well. I used it on the previous bikes' thin white walls. Simple Green works good too, but takes some elbow grease.
