Default Andrews 57 cam any improvement on a 14

I was thinking of installing the Andrews 57h cam on my 2014 road King. The stock cams on the 14 are supposed to be much improved. Would putting on the Andrews 57 be worthwhile or a waste of money. Anyone do this. I have an open air box and pipes already. Can't find much on the 14 stock cam specs. Thanks

If I owned a 103ho, I'd dynotune it b4 I put in a 57h.

How much can a guy expect going from a dynotuned 103ho with stock cam vs same with 57h? Can't be a lot.

If you want o change your cam witout headwork or an increase in compression,go with a Cyclerama 570. If you just want a little seat of the pants, install a Baker 31 tooth pulley.

Ya are not gonna pick up much/any torque with just a cam change but ya can pick up 10+hp on top. I don't think it is worth the time/money to do a cam swap without at least headwork on the rushmores. They run pretty good with a proper tune...

Wow, I had this exact same question running thru my head all last week on a bike trip vacation. I had heard the 57 cam was a great all around cam for the 103. But, I'm a rookie to cams and I'm just starting to read threads as to learn and make the right decision.

Thanks for asking this question! Hopefully more of the gear heads will chime in too!

A 57h along with a Powervision tuner made a huge difference in my '15 Limited. (Already had full V&H exhaust). But, the wetheads have a bit more compression so that helps.

One caveat... the 57h is a noisy cam.... both lifter wise and intake noise. I had to go back to a stock air cleaner housing, I couldn't take the "wooden drum" drone from the intake.

So I'm not saying anybody should go out and do what me and my buddy did the other day but here's my findings about HO configured bikes. Mine, '15 SG, his '09 Ultra. Second gear identical roll ons from 25mph to 105 he was instantly a spec in my mirrors and continued on so for the duration. Now, last year he had sns cams and a Cobra tuner along with true duals and VH slips installed and he said it is no where near what it was in stock form, far more ballz. He was happy with the install and actually I thought he'd clean my clock but no so. Yes I had the weight advantage.
I had a set of 204 cams in my FLHR that were for sale and this other guy came by a little while ago and was eager to dump his HO cams in his 2016 RG for my 204's. Hope he enjoys them, his choice!

I for one can't wait for my bike to be back, I am installing a 103HO in my 07 FLHTC, it had Andrews 26H cams and did much better than stock. Seems from talking to a HD mechanic that the cams in HO motor is close to a mix of 255 and another I think 254 maybe? I will give the motor a try for a while.

IMO I wouldn't muck with it for just cams. Head work then I would be in but for me, a guy that has torn into every harley that I have owned I am not inclined to jump into the 2016 motor. It runs very well as is and it's quiet.

Anything high lift is going to be noisey from what I have seen.
