Default Speakers cutting out??

09 street glide... 21,000 miles. At first it was when I hit a bump or randomly the speakers would just go silent.. The radio was still "on" and I could change channel etc... But no sound. If I shut radio off then turned back on it would work again... Now it just is silent the whole time. The radio itself is on... But nothing coming out of speakers. I took fairing off and looked around. Everything seems connected and good to go. But still the same problem... Any info or advice on the problem is highly appreciated. Thanks!

I can't give you anything specific but this is what I'd do.
I'd pull the fairing back off, un plug all the radio connections, check for corosion on the pins then clean and resaet them.
If that doesn't help then it might be time to consider a new radio.
Also, there's an audio section on the board. You might be able to get better help there.

Same thing was happening with me on my 09 Glide and they had to replace the radio. It was under extended warranty at the time.

Same here. Replaced under ESP. If you search it you will see its a common problem. Mine was at 17,000 miles.

I would do what ORradtech suggested though. It wouldn't hurt.

The problem is likely a damaged board. Had this happen on the wife's trike. Sent it to Iron Cross for repairs and it works fine now. Was not completely satisfied with the experience, but most of my issues were probably just my hang up.

It cost 250 to have the board repaired and reinforced and the work has a 1 year warranty, with a discount on any work future for life. Turn around is pretty fast, but not the 2 days that they estimate.
