Question Electra glide/Street glide exhaust interchange

Does anybody by chance know if you can install a 2-1 Screamin' Eagle Nightstick exhaust complete with head pipes from a 2010 Street Glide onto a 2001 Electra glide standard with factory duals? My ride is a 2001 Electra Glide Standard (88ci) and my uncle has the Street Glide (96ci). He offered me a heck of a deal on the exhaust system that is if it works. So does anybody know if the complete 2-1 exhaust off a 2010 Street Glide

If he is prepared to let you try to install it, then have a go. The recent 2-1-2 style won't bolt on, but a few members have managed to modify them. However that system you mention doesn't cross over, so I think it has a better chance of working. The fit at the heads is the same as your system, it will be a matter of matching up the mountings.

I have an '08 system on my 1990 Glide, so while it is not listed as fitting, it did bolt right up! It could be said that it is our duty to see if stuff intended for one model will fit others! I've been doing that for years.

I will have to try and give it a go if he will let me. I just hate to let good parts that were barely used sit there and collect dust when your looking into buying a similar system. That and its family owned...lol I guess next time I make it down there we might have to give it a shot.

I think it will fit. The issue with that 2-1 header is the collector area. They don't flow the greatest through there. However, on a 88 incher you may be just fine with it.

If he isn't just round the block that may present a challenge - I hadn't thought of that!

There is one of those 2 into 1 set ups for sale locally cheap, has anyone actually tried it on an older bike? From what I can find it should fit the heads but might not clear by the frame/floor board area.

Crazy440, Take some pictures on your smartphone of mounting points on your Bike, then visit your
Uncle and check out the mounting points on his Bike. If they are close give it a go, even if you
have to make it fit by fabricate a mounting point bracket. Nothing wrong with using take off
parts from your Uncle's Bike.

Default 2015 street glide exaust to 2007 electra glide.

I am currently in the process of building this exaust. I had to cut the cat out of it and beat the metals out of the cat. Welded back together then move 02 sensors closer to the head. This is not a true 2 into 1 but I wanted to try it. Change the mounting. Lots of work but when I am done this should open up the exaust to accommodate the intake I put on it. Will post when it's all done and let you know the results.
