Default What year Street Glide shocks for Electra Glide

I have a 2004 Electra Glide Classic and am looking to lower it an inch. My Road Zeppelin seat forces me to be up on my toes at stop lights. I want to know what years Street Glide shocks will directly bolt on and will give me a 1" drop? Are there any other parts needed to make the swap?

Thanks!
John

HD Profile Low Touring Shocks PN 54631-02B Fits "97-"08 Touring models Catalog shows $339.95

Info source - Quick search of the Harley Website

I am sure others have info on Non Harley Shocks that will work.

The 2008 street glide shocks have a 2002 part number so you should look for used 2002-2008 street glide air shocks. The part changed in 2009.

This is correct, but I have wondered if 09 and newer shocks would work. The newer shocks are a bit better.

Thanks for the responses but I am a bit confused. One mentioned part # 54631-02B for Harley touring and another said part # 54662-02A for Street Glide. Before I drop some money, which is the proper one?

Thanks!

The PN 54631-02B comes up on the HD website when I put in your bike.

Go to HD Site click "shop" then "for bike" then enter your bike and click Brakes & suspension. No need to take our word for it.

Not sure if the link will work.

Good luck

Any SG shock will work. If your going that route choose the hand adjustables over the air.
