I've read as much as I can on here I have 4.5" dirty bird bags and I put my Oem lids/latch hardware on and now the bags won't latch shut. The FABRIC PIECE is NOT in folding up in there. I read that's common I noticed a crease so that was part of the problem. I've tried loosing bolts and trying to get them to latch still won't latch/click shut looking for any other ideas before I start banging my head against a table. Thanks

 

Talk to the manufacturer of your bags.
If you're having difficulty with their product chances are someone else is or has too.

 

Bought them on eBay, not directly from dirty bird the bags were new tho. Thanks for you're input

 

That fabric could be getting caught between the lid and bottom, so it won't close right. Try reversing that.
