Default zeppelin seat part numbers

Hey guys, I have a line on a great deal for a Zeppelin seat, but I'm confused by the part numbers... The seat has part number 51072-09, and says it fits from '09 and up, but the current part number for that seat is 52000201. First, does anyone know the difference between the two, and second, does anyone have a seat with the older part number on a rushmore bike? Any help would be appreciated.

If have two Zepplien seats. One for the pre 2009 frame which is on the 2006. And one on a 2010 Limited. The 2006 seat has two banks of for the air control blatter's. The 2010 has 1 bank of 3 buttons. Hope that helps.

The one I am looking at would be the one that is on your '10. I'm just not sure what the difference is between it and the new part number. The dealer is no help and I'm not sure what the difference is...

I just Googled both seat numbers and they look like the identical seat. Same seat as I have on my 2010.

That's what I think to, but not sure why they updated the part number if they didn't change anything. Hoping to here from someone with the -09 part number on their 14+ ultra... I'm getting a good deal, but not good enough to chance the wrong seat! lol

Thanks for looking into it though!

I believe that I have the answer that you are looking for. The Earlier seat that fits the '09 will also work on Rushmore bikes. I am using the one that I had on my '09 Ultra Classic on my '15 CVO Limited. The difference in the newer Zeppelins is they put additional relief for the left saddlebag lid to open without having to flex the lid slightly to open and close it. You don't have to flex it very much though and I also used mine on the '14 Limited that I had before the CVO for 2 years without causing any problems. Take the "Good Deal" and I'm sure you'll be happy with your decision.

I just got a demo home to try before I pull the trigger on it. The only problem is that they didn't have the power adapter to plug it in! So I get to try the seat with no air... At least it answers my biggest question about seat height. I can still just barely flat foot the bike with no air in the seat. Shouldn't be an issue since you can just dump the air when you're around town, and pump it up for those long, *** killing highway stretches.

And thanks for the reply. I tried opening the lid and yes, you do have to give it a little flex. Not a big deal since that is always my wet/warm gear bag so I don't use it often. Think I opened it twice last week on a six day run.
