This site Emptys my wallet. I keep telling myself to stop getting on here because I overspend with my addiction and you guys egg it on. HA!
Just removed my fully built S&S motor and posted it for sale because I want to go bigger! I want the most HP/TQ possible, but must be reliable for long Touring and I want it to stay belt drive. So taking into consideration my touring and belt drive needs what would be your suggestions? I want to do it right so this is my last time building a motor and be done (seems like ive done everything 5 times... seats, suspension, tires, bars, motors, etc).
I was running a Built S&S 107" Motor w/S&S Crank, S&S Case, Port/Polished Heads, S&S 570 Cams, 107" with Wiesco Pistons at 10.5:1 Compression, S&S Roller Rockers, S&S Stainless 1 piece Valves, S&S Heavy Duty Valve Springs, S&S Quickee Adjustable Pushrods with conversion tubes and covers. It did 118HP/115TQ on the Dyno. Pulled great and more than enough power but dont like being outdid by the guy next to me so trying to determine best route.
Im thinking big bore but keep cam lift low and compression low for touring and reliability purposes? Also big crate motor bone stock or do another build from scratch? I have to sell my S&S build first before I can drop the money necessary but my budget will be $10k MAX for new motor. Not even $10,100, I know you guys like to spend my money.
