S&S MR 103 Cam
Men, I need some advice, again.
For the longest, I've been back and forth on which cam to have installed. This is a tough decision. Originally, I wanted the Woods 777 but in reality on a stock engine, it doesn't seem like a smart idea. Then I thought about the Woods 222 but that cam seems to die out quickly. Then, for the past year, I've been thinking about the Andrews 57 cam which seems like the best overall cam.
Today, I called Kendall Johnson Customs which is known as a top notch quality shop. They're famous for engine work. The guy that I spoke to recommended the S&S MR 103 Cam over the Andrews 57. To be honest, I didn't ask him to compare the 2. He said its currently the best bolt on cam.
I'm not familiar with this cam and I don't see any information about it in a touring bike. On the S&S website, it's described as, "MR103: These bolt in-cams are for the rider who wants more of everything without giving up low end torque for high rpm horsepower, or vice versa. More power all across the wide power band, from idle to red line."
He'll charge $800 for the cam and install and $400 to tune.
My other question is, since I already have a Power Vision Tuner, what advantage is there to having him tune the bike over auto-tuning?
Anyone familiar with this cam?
Thanks!

KJC has a great reputation and I think the MR103 would be a great fit for your street glide as well. Personally I think it is very important to listen to the person who is going to tune your motorcycle. They have a hell of a lot more experience than most of us on this forum. ***Please note this only applies to a tuner that knows what they are doing***

Also you will need to have the bike tuned. Auto Tuning won't do a good enough job by itself.
