Default SE 585's vs SE 204's

Currently have a 2012 Limited. Running V&H Dresser Duals, CFR Mufflers, SE Race Tuner, SE 204 cams. Wondering opinions on replacing the 204's with the SE 585's?

I have them on my 2015 RGS with stage 3 and I am happy with the torque and horsepower. At 96HP/114TQ.

What are you wanting the bike to do that it won't do now?

Give me more passing power right now...204's seems to lag a little but come on.

If you replace your V&H Dresser Duals & CFR Mufflers, With a better system you might find the passing power your looking for..

Have 204's in my 2014 BO and love em. They do only come on at about 2800 though, then pull right up until ,,,,,,,,,! I can see where for a heavier tourer, something that delivers sooner would be more satisfying. Sixth gear pulls me all the way to 100 mph with dispatch and no sign of topping out but that occasional exercise is hardly practical. I'm going to a 68t rear sprocket from the stock 64t at next tire change, just so I can play in the higher gear ranges sooner. Right now, I don't get to see the little green 6 unless I'm hitting 75 mph.

I put the SE585 with 4 degree advance in my (110ci) CVO vs the SE 255's. 100tq at 2250 to 5600 rpm.

Leave the cam . Mild headwork, little more compression and a Baker 31 tooth pulley.
