Default SnS 510 Cams & Gear Drive

I know a guy getting ready to put SnS 510 Cams & Gear Drive (his indy's advice) in a 2013 Ultra Limited ,, When I asked what RPM range he mostly road in he said 2800-3000 I think he would be better off with the CR-570 ,, Please Guys share your knowledge on Bagger Cams

SnS 510's in a Bagger, Good or Bad and Why??
Cyclerama 570 vs SnS 510 in a Bagger riding 2800-3000 rpm range??

Why not s&s 551 a bolt-in cam set designed for stock or mildly modified touring bikes. Greatly improves low-end and midrange torque, strongest from idle-4000rpm.

Agree. 510s are not the best choice for a heavy bike.

If he's riding mostly at 2800-3000, .510's are not a good choice for him. These cams don't really kick in until you hit 3,000 rpm. I run them on my bike, but I have other engine mods to support them. Anything under 3,000, it feels like you have stock cams. But once you cross into the 3,000-5,500 range it pulls like a freight train. I typically cruise at 3,200 rpm, and usually shift around 5,000 when I'm taking off. It makes riding a lot of fun, but fuel mileage sucks.

May I ask, what about the S&S MR103? I have a 2012 SG with a stock engine. My local indy shop (Kendall Johnson) is pushing these hard for my bike and said they provide the best performance. Superior to the 555's and Andrew 57. I just don't know anything about them.

Sound good, but how about heavy bagger ..
MR103: These bolt in-cams are for the rider who wants more of everything without giving up low end torque for high rpm horsepower, or vice versa. More power all across the wide power band, from idle to red line.

I put the S&S 510's in my 11 RGU. The actual increased power delivery I saw was from 2000+ with the meat of the power delivery between 2500-3500rpm....right where I ride. I was getting 40-44 mpg at 80mph trips on the highway. I really liked those cams in my 103.

I gotta go with George W on the Cycle-Rama 570’s. DarenSheffer (Sheffer Performance HD in Evansville) has been getting great, andrepeatable results with that cam. Some even pulling 100 foot pounds as low as1600 rpm. And, it’s still stretching out farther than the 255’s. I have the CR575’s and love em’. It may stretch out farther than the 570, but if I had anUltra, I’d opt for it instead. And if it’s anything like the 575 it will runcool and quiet.
