Default Best speakers for road glide

Stock speakers not doing it for me. Any suggestions for replacement speakers for a 2013 road glide?

I just went through this. How much you willing to spend? I assume you are getting an amp?

Replacing the speakers alone will not necessarily improve the sound unless the speakers are shot.
A properly installed amp will increase the sound output.

If you do a search here, you will find thousands of posts about speakers and amps.

Default Biketronics

i have biketronics and couldnt do another setup. I do have it hooked to an aftermarket stereo and amp. Sounds near perfect, really can crank it loud and i hear it all speeds after i got it dialed in.

If you have the cash, grab their amp. I have pushed it for a whole trip, with it only overheating once since I've owned it 2 1/2 years. It keeps kick ing and has lifetime warranty

Go to the audio section, lots of great guys there. Don't waste time/money doing it in stages. Save your nickels and get a good system the first time and be done with it. Ask me how I know. Like was already said, speakers only isn't worth it, need a good amp to drive them. If you google motorcycle audio and someone tells you their system is the "best" for your bike - run very far away very fast - do not drink the koolaid.

The best ones are the ones you install in your helmet.

if you are cheap ,like me, Get replacement speakers close to the ohm of your radio, which is 2 ohm's. I have 3 ohm speakers that are 2 way. I already know they will be sub par, but thet are better than the o8 crap that's oem installed. 2 things you will never get; 1) bass out of a fairing speaker, and 2) you will never get a car sound ,unless you are in a car. There are 2 ohm speakers out there but they are quite pricey and I can't justify that kind of cabbage for a song on the radio, or my favorite cd.

you got options, you can get some cheap 2-3ohm speakers that will still sound fuzzy and quiet on the highway, or you can invest in a speaker/amp kit (can be done for under $300 fpr something simple, but a quality setup will be around $500, i have a Biketronics kit and love it, but SoundzCustomz has good setups too)

This is by far the best advice so far, both in terms of performance and in terms of cost.

I agree to an extent. But then, why buy a bike with a radio? I heard systems that were crazy loud. Bags were full of speakers / amps. That is nuts to me but hey, your bike and cash.

All depends on how much cash you want to throw at the problem and be happy at that.

I have been thinking this winters project to be an upgraded stereo. So I will be following this.
