Not redundant - more like an oxymoron ... Like Jumbo Shrimp, clearly confused, interesting Ron, etc.

I have been using the quick detail spray for years...windshields keep looking like new and bugs don't stick. Of course I wipe down at the end of every ride to keep her looking good.

Had great luck with HD product Harley Glaze on my windshields. Apply product directly on a clean microfiber towel to removes bugs, then another to remove glaze. Skinny bottle slips nicely into the saddlebag for long trip, end of the day cleanup where soap and water may not be available.

Man windex and paper towels sounds like 2 strikes to me. Both are the things that I've always read not to use. Chemicals in windex and paper towels could scratch the plastic.
Either you are pulling our leg or you are damn lucky.

Windex, paper towels, and a wire brush then rinse with warm hot water.
Bug goo wouldn't stand a chance!

Same here and works great. I tried BugSlide once and it didn't work any better or worse than Meguiar's Quick Detailer I get at my local AutoZone.

Thats what I use, no kidding. My windshield is one of those QR 16" jobs. Some of the cleaning products cited here are over 30 bux a can. I picked up a spare (the plexiglass part only) windshield for 125 bux on sale this year. You don't need to be Stephen Hawking to do that math. I'm not spending 30 bux to wash a 125 dollar piece of plexi that gets scratched and dulls in the sun anyway.

I'd rather spend my money on oil.

Here is what I use, it works on them nasty Saskatchewan bugs very well. Softens the bones in the bug so no scratching occurs.

Novus comes in different grades , cleaner , Novus 1 which is a spray works great and in the red bottle Novus #2 for fine scratches is like a liquid polish and I think there is one more.
They work great
