Default Are Tour Pack luggage racks interchangeable?

Does anyone know if the Premium Tour Pack luggage rack (#53665-87) and the Air Wing tour pack luggage rack (#79179-08) are interchangeable as far as mounting goes?

In other words, can I take off my Premium rack and use the same bolt holes to mount an Air Wing rack?

I would pose the same question about the saddlebag racks as well.

Thanks in advance.

tourpak racks, yes.

the airwing does not hold a bag as well, also you may have to modify straps as the airwing has a bar at the centerline.- I had to cut a velcro strap in 1/2 and go on each side of it.

the led kit for the airwing is nice add on

Yes those two use the same mounting template. We have both. One on my RK and one on my son's RK. Some of the earlier racks had a narrower bolt pattern.
If you are planning on using one of the large top rack bags from T-Bags or others make sure it fits well on the Airwing as it has a little narrower rack front to back. My large top bag fits perfectly on my Premium rack, the tie down straps even line up, but is a little scrunched on the Airwing ... still works but the rack is narrower front to back.

Thanks for the info chaps. I recently bought a late tourpak secondhand and have been looking at adding a rack. The Airwing is stated as being 13" deep and 20.5" wide, while the Premium is 14.25" deep and the same width. But the Airwing lights kit does look tempting.....

I added the Airwing and LED to my 2009 and was disappointed in the lack of visibility from this light. I will not add it to my 2014.

mine works really well- although leds have a narrow angle of visibility.

or perhaps they changed supplier- mines from 09.

Thats kinda why I'm thinking about it.

BB59 and grbrown-Good to know about the size difference. I will take that under advisement. We don't use the rack all that often, but when we do, I am a "bungee strap" kind of person, so I am usually doing overkill.

Thanks all.

I will agree with the size difference for mounting the HD bag, it does fit although a little scrunched, Ive had the bag extended with a leather jacket on top and rode 1k miles without issue. My buddy has a 14 Ultra, and his looked just too neat without the wrinkles. lol
