Vivid Black - It's a love / hate relationship
Just spent 3+ hours cleaning compounding and polishing this beast. Man when it's freshly done there's nothing better, but let it go for the season, and it starts looking tired and old. I was starting to feel like my bike that I bought new 1 year ago allready looked old.
Vivid black is tough, been thinking about painting it, or possible buying a set of take off tins in the hard candy gold flake or the olive color. - so damn expensive though, expensive enough that it may be worth trading before doing that.
Anyway here is a shot of the finished product.

I am definitely old school. Back in the 70's when I got my first Harley I met an old rider who told me "Harleys only come in two colors ....... black and ugly!". Well, all these years later I still have a black Harley. Don't get me wrong ..... I think many of the colors are gorgeous. However, when it comes to what I own and ride it has always been and will always be Black and Chrome!
