Default Anyone running Road King Fat Handlebar 55800386

Anyone have these handlebars of their Road King?

Road King Fat Handlebar - Chrome
Part Number 55800386

If so how do they compare to the stock handlebars on a 14+ Road King?

I had the black version on my '16 RK. I put poly bushings on when I installed the bars.

How do they compare? not sure what you mean... fit, function, looks? They had a little more pullback than stock on the '16. They worked great and with the poly bushings they seemed to shake a little less. Looks... well I thought they looked good on my bike.

Do you happen to have any pictures of these bars on your RK?

Button below the turn signal is the cruise control. Button behind the horn is the paddle switch for cycling between mileage, trip mileage, time, gear/rpm indicator, etc.

Yep, the button is cruise control. The dial on the left grip is the heated grip.

I liked the road king but I recently (veterans day) traded it in on a 2017 Street Glide Special. Just me but I wanted a fairing, stereo and nav screen. The new engine and a test ride just sold me faster. I like the smoother (less vibration) running of the M8 and the power is great. But the suspension improvements of the 2017 really make a world of difference in handling!

On the other hand, the Road King with a windshield on was almost as good as a fairing and the fact that you could take the windshield off was a huge benefit. Once you took the windshield off the rk it turned into a whole new bike. Its kinda hard to describe, but the RK without a windshield felt like a much lighter, sportier bike.

Edit to add: just noticed, I have another button on in those pictures just inboard from the mirror on the left side... it's a thumb switch control for a sena 20 bluetooth comm in my helmet.

Ride em all + choose what fits you best! For me, the RK is the most bang for the buck in the HD lineup. If you're doin a lot of 2 up riding, like me, the SG don't cut it. The passenger seat is unacceptable, the lower shocks lessen the ride, + the passenger pegs far less comfortable than the RK's boards.

The new M-8's are ABSOLUTELY the bomb! Smoother, more power, better ride + run MUCH cooler! I lead all the demo rides for Adventure HD. This year, the new RK's got highest grades from all the customers + road captains on the demos. HD's nav system is pitiful at best. My $70 Garmin w/$15 waterproof case, and a free download of Garmin Basecamp will run circles around the HD nav system. HD screwed up HUGE when they didn't agree to terms with Garmin on the nav system + they know it!

That's where I bought my SGS :-) Great dealership!

The Road King in the pictures is probably on their floor for sale by now.
