Hey Folks, I've put off changing the compensator on my 2010 Street Glide long enough. This winter I'm breaking down and doing it. As part of the job I was thinking about replacing the stator while I already have it all apart, to take advantage of the upgraded dual rubber stator plug that's suppose to prevent the future weeping people are getting from the plug on the front of the primary? On 2010 the seal has one rib and they upgraded it in future years to a dual rib set up. Im not having an issue yet but Im told its just a matter of time? Anyone else take advantage of this upgrade while they had things already apart? Thoughts? Worth It? How many have 2010 back touring with the weeping stator and at what mileage? Thanks

My bike is a 2012. I upgraded to the high output stator when I replaced my compensator. I didn't experience a leak and still haven't. I now have 55k on the bike.

Can't help you much but I just traded a 2010 Ultra with 56k miles and all stock, no issues.

I wouldnt change it just for a leak that hasnt happened yet or even if it was just a small leak for that matter.

At 65-70k miles while changeing the comp I upgraded to hi output cycle e. and put a dab or two of hi temp sealer on the plug.

and remember- don;t use impact tools on the comp sprocket bolt.

or you WILL be buying a new stator and rotor.

Thanks guys. If you all are getting the higher mileage out of the stock setup without leaks I think Ill just change the comp and call it good. I think Im also going to go with a Baker Attitude Primary chain adjuster. Only thing keeping me from it is the fact that some say they get a vibration from it? Im going to do a little more research and talk to Mark at Baker

Installed my Baker Attitude Adjuster and Baker comp about 4000 miles ago. Runs very smooth. Not sure how you would get a vibration from the adjuster unless they didn't have it adjusted correctly.

Was there anything about the Baker Comp install that would be different from the Harley upgrade that your aware of? I know with either I have to change my rotor. Thanks
